AMBITIONS COMING TRUE.

He sits there in the office working 8 hours a day, his soul left behind in a corner of the house cursing himself and his family 24×7. When I was talking to him I could feel the pain in his voice for not being able to do what he wished for, his voice broke with each word but such a strong person he is that he poured all the tears back in the heart which were trying to make him weak, and then I remembered how badly I wanted to pursue my career in psychology and to my parents it didn't make any sense, though I had a belief that I can help others mentally in a world where we have many physical treaters. I understood what he was going through and wanted to console and tell him that he is doing a good job but how could I when I, myself can't get the fact out of my mind that if somebody told me to change my career from a CA to a Psychologist I would do it in a heartbeat.
I don't know what exactly we can say to convince our parents to let us do what we want to or atleast for a chance to try it once and give them assurance that we will be successful even when we are not so confident in this competitive world.
But my friend, you can tell your parents to let you take a risk, to do what you want because even if you fail, you will learn and you can start all over again according to your parent's will because it's never too late. It  will be all about an opportunity cause then you will never be ashamed upon yourself for not trying and also for your parents whom you may blame for the sorrowful, discontented life that you might lead to, may be full of suicidal thoughts and attempts too.

I know, when we are in 11th or 12th standard we are not aware about what we want to do but let me give you a reality check that there is always something that gives you goosebumps, racing heartbeat, adrenaline rush and last but never the least, a SMILE in your imagination seeing yourself there.
For myself, I want to have a big house, a huge closet full of fashionable clothes, a swimming pool and many international trips but when I look deep inside, I see myself being contented in a small house watching TV with a big family, my loose t-shirts and weird shorts/pyjamas keeping me comfortable, sitting by a lake with my friend being the best part of the weekend and all my stress taken away when I return to my pet, and the aim I carry is to educate at least one poor child from my own earnings coming true and this is it ! If I have this in my future I have achieved my pleasure.
As I grew, I realised that my happiness comes first even before my parent's because I know my parents would be more happy and proud if I lead a contented life, be with them even after their fifties and sixties and respect them for letting me do what I wanted to, even if I let myself down, but not them.
When you will turn 40 or so, your parents might not be there to see you in the pain for not trying to achieve your dreams but you, yourself will be looking in the mirror regretting while getting ready to go on work that 'kaash ek bar koshish toh kari hoti ( I wish that I tried atleast once )'.
